Reflecting on the last year is crazy. We finally feel like we’re turning a corner from the nationwide shut down, which went from an expected 1-month duration to over a year of adjustments.
Amongst this change, we continued to operate at Valicom and actually grow our team!
We switched to a hybrid model, half of our employees in the office and half of them working from home. Telecommunications and infrastructure fell under the essential worker category and allowed us to do what we do best, continuing to serve our clients.
Our quarterly satisfaction surveys provide the temperature check we need to make sure our clients are happy. Addressing concerns right away has worked really well for us throughout our time as a organization but also during times that bring hardship.
We are happy to announce…
Valicom’s 2021 Q1 client satisfaction survey reported 3.93 out of a total of 4.0 points for overall customer care!
Lead by Values
In times of adversity, Valicom has been able to make decisions and think quickly. How? Our founding values point us in a clear direction of what is right and wrong. Matter of fact, when you walk into Valicom’s office space, our values are painted on the wall, big for everyone to see.

As shown above, our values include:
Passion
Inspiration
Innovation
Authenticity
Memorable experiences
Enduring connections
Our values are not the only factor that has kept us afloat during the pandemic this past year. Valicom has faced adversity before. The 2008 recession certainly was not an easy time for Valicom, or anyone for that matter.
From our experiences in 2008, it made it easier to know what to do in trying times. Learning from our past is a solid advantage compared to newer companies in the technology space.
Lastly, we need to give recognition to our amazing team. During our annual party, which was virtual this year, we asked our employees what our number 1 differentiator is and it was not to our surprise that the majority voted:
Our Team!

We are very grateful for our amazing clients, those who have been with us from the start, as well as those who are newer to the team of technology expense management superheroes! When it comes to customer care, consistency is key to ultimate client satisfaction. Amidst a dramatic shift in our economy today, relationships and service are differentiators to preserve important relationships.
This past year, purchasers were empowered like never before. Downplaying the importance of customer experience and customer service is no longer an option for businesses out there, as the voice of the customer continues to get louder every day.
HERE ARE A FEW COMMENTS FROM OUR CLIENTS this past quarter.
“The Valicom team was outstanding in their efforts to mine and analyze data from AT&T Business Direct to help us prove that we did indeed earn a large volume credit from 2019. Huge thanks!”“[Valicom has a] quick response time, and willingness to adapt to requests made on the fly.”
“Everything is working well. Great team.”
“Very happy and satisfied with Joe and hit team. Very efficient, easy to work, pleasant and on top of our many accounts!”
“Mitch and Mike are always consistent and helpful in everything they do. I appreciate them so much.”

Want to know more about your unique telecom environment?
IF YOU’RE NOT WATCHING FOR ERRORS, YOU DON’T SEE THEM.
In one client example, a healthcare facility had torn a building down. They later found they were being billed, and had been paying for, 50 landline telephones in a ghost building that was now a parking lot.
FOR TWELVE YEARS.
Now, that is a huge error, and you think you’d find it yourself – but guess what? With complexity also comes the manual workload required to gain control. Your telecom and IT asset management may include tens, hundreds or thousands of monthly invoices, circuits and devices.
This points to a rising need for automated expense management processes, whether in-house or outsourced. According to Gartner, “at the heart of any TEM offering is an automated software platform used by the business or by an external service provider managing a company’s telecom invoices and assets.”
As stated by the AOTMP report The Value of TEM to SMB (small-to-mid-sized-business), “Those with a TEM program save 22% more than companies who do not.”
