What guides your decision making? When it gets tough, how do you decide what is worth your time and what needs to be eliminated to maintain a healthy business environment?

At Valicom, having a set of core values is how we all stay on the same page, and make decisions that align with our company goals. How you treat one another, how you work together, how well you know your teammates – this creates the mold we need for success. Wouldn’t you agree? This all starts with having values that align.

These values were created over 30 years ago by our CEO and Founder, Nancy Peckham. If you talk to her today, you’ll realize how similar these values are to her own core values. Every action we take, the way we treat our clients, and the way we interact with our friends, family, and co-workers comes from our core values.

As much as we say personal and business is separate, I don’t believe they are actually that separated. Those who work well together outside of work will most likely work best together in a work setting. This is why, when a team has individuals that share the same core values, they are a force to be reckon with. At Valicom, we choose our team based on these core values and is why we have the best team on the field!

Don’t believe us? Ask our clients. Valicom puts out a satisfaction survey to its clients once a quarter. Based on this survey, we make adjustments to our software, Clearview, and the way we operate. On average, our clients rank us at a 3.89 out of 4 stars! We appreciate the honest feedback given in these questionnaires. That’s how we get better and provide the best experiences for our clients.

Taking Values to the Next Level

We use our values during the hiring process, and our team uses them for decision making.. Sounds like enough, right? We make it more legit with a program to hold ourselves accountable! The program I’m referring to is our Recognition Buck Program.

Recognition Buck Program

This is what is awarded when one co-worker recognizes another co-worker for doing something above and beyond, in alignment with our company values. Disclaimer, the above dollar bill is not real and should not be used as a form of currency”. Hehe! Those that get the most Recognition Bucks at the end of the quarter, wins a $50 VISA gift card.

This is a great way to hold each other accountable to our values, encourage and reward one another for the hard work we do, and it’s just straight up fun.

What’s Good?

Based off the information we have gathered from client satisfaction survey’s, we will soon be launching a Clearview refresh. We are excited to rollout an improved user interface for our clients. Keep your eye out as we will be sharing details about the new design in a video after launch.
